Coach Sean's Notes

Hi Everyone, a very eventful weekend just passed and I must say that for the most part, I was proud of our girls. The tempo of our play and the emphasis on playing through the balls was the key to us playing well, and it is what we worked on all week at practice. I must say that I could not fault us for creativity, we created enough. At times we made mistakes, but doesn't everyone? I was the first to admit that I made a mistake as the Coach and take full responsibility for the loss on PK's. I didn't schedule PK's in practice, which I should have! And I apologized to the kids. It's important not only for the kids but also as a coach to learn and develop from this.

I'm excited that we managed to play some very exciting soccer, lots of possession and key defending at times very encouraging, and I will be pushing the players to play with the same heart, desire, and quality this coming weekend in Clarksville as we go there trying to repeat what we did last year by winning it.

I hope you all have a great week and that we get lots of sun!! Kelly-Jade told me to tell you guys hi and that she's thinking about every one of you!!!

Go Danger!

97 Lady Danger in Bowling Green

by Coach Sean Fraser

The 97 Lady Danger of Paris, TN, fought hard this weekend in the Bowling Green Tournament.

In the tournament opener, dressed in red, Danger entertained Paducah Storm and dominated the earyl play with great pressure led by forwards Alyss Ray, Manning Boley, Madison Lovelace, and Sophie Carter. The defense held firm for its 3rd shut-out of the season led by the return of Lillie Akers.

The Danger looked thretening throughout and Sophie Carter had the pick of the chances going close after being puth through by Sakura Horiuchi. Only a great save from the keeper managed to keep the score tied.

The game fizzled out ending in a 0-0 tie which was overshadowed by an injury to captain Kaity Beth James.

In the Saturday afternoon game the Danger faced Hopkinsville Ambush and fell beind to two early goals, only for Sakura Horiuchi to score a superb solo goal. The game ended 3-2 with the Danger awaiting other results to determine whether we made the cut for the following day's playoffs.

Clarksville Impact wee the opposition in the quarter final and in a fiesty affair, the Danger looked to be the stronger team going close on many opportunities. In a game that produced 3 yellow cards, the Danger showed their physical and athletic dominance, but could not turn it into goals. Addi Cate was the hero on numerous opportunities with a string of impressive saves to collect the fourth shutout of the season.

The game went to PK's and Clarksville Impact came out on top with the Danger players clearly dejected and downbeat about the result.

The Danger turns around and travels to Clarksville for their final tournament of the season this coming week.

I think you will all agree that our girls proved themselves this weekend. Playing against high school girls and girls older than them for the most part. I was particularly pleased with the effort and determination, coupled with the quality of our play.

Things are going really really well, and I am excited for the next bunch of games, next weekend in Clarksville Sunday at 1pm and 2pm. It's going to be a great test. I am ready for them to start rackin gup wins on a regular basis. I think with the effort and desire shown combined with the quality of our play, success is on the horizon. Congratulations to the girls that performed outstanding and let this be a reminder that great play and improvement comes with hard work.

Lady Danger on FIRE!!!

Lady Danger Assistant Kelly Jade Whelan got one over on her college coach by being a part of the Lady Danger team that overcame the Jackson Wolves Thursday night 1-0.

Th Danger started well as many through balls tested the Wolves backline. The Danger defense sealed the backline ad protected keeper Addi Cate.

It was Manning Boley after ten minutes who beat two players and fired a shot from 20 yards into the tope corner of the goal. To the delight of the Danger following.

The Danger colsed out the games in determined fashion and were led by strong midlfield play by Sakura Horiuchi, Hannah Nichols, and Katie Owen.

In a nightcap, the Lady Danger entertianed the Wolves U12 and struggled to cope with the energy of their opponents who did not have another game that night. The Danger were strong ad disciplined but needed a late strong effort by Sakura Horiuchi to tie up the game.

The Danger travel to The Shootout in the West in Jackson, TN this weekend. Go Danger!

Hey everyone and welcome to the new website for our girls. It's been a very encouraging start to the Danger soccer season this spring and the girls are taking the new verson of soccer (going from 8v8 to 11v11) very well. We have worked hard on the system and playing with a desire to win. I think we will all agree that performance wise we did very well in our first tournament of the season in Mayfield.

It is disappointing to think that we were only one refereeing decision away from winning the whole thing. If the ref did not give that free kick at the end of the game when it was 3-2 us we would have gone on to win the whole thing!

More progress is the goal for the future and we will continue to develop through practice.

Go Danger!
